The outcomes of the parallel event on Biodiversity Conservation and Education for Sustainable Development will be shared and discussed at the side event which will be held at the HICC in room 1.06 Level 1

3. Stall at CEPA Fair Exhibition October 8-19, 2012 Exhibition of materials for the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity. It includes presentation of posters, display of printed materials, display of CD-ROMs
4. Science Express Biodiversity Special (SEBS) Film  October 8, 2012  Showcasing a short film on SEBS
4. Science Express Biodiversity Special October 9-19, 2012 Events around the SEBS and taking COP participants to SEBS
5. CEPA Fair Side Event  October 10, 2012 10am to 1pm  This side event will give us an opportunity to share the concept of Hand Print and use it for Biodiversity
6. Young India for Biodiversity a) For children – October 10-12, 2012 Side Event – October 10, 2012 6:15pm to 7:45pm Venue : Room 3 – HITEX 1 – Ground level

a) For children – Selected NGC children will showcase their work related to biodiversity
b) For Youth – TERI, CEE and YETI have jointly proposed youth conference to engage youth leaders in an exchange of ideas, strengthen youth voice and network and empower young people to take local initiatives
7. Worldviews on Biodiversity Special Event – October 17, 2012 1:15pm to 2:45pm CEE is partnering with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Danish Board of Technology, in a project called "World Wide Views on Biodiversity" (WWVB). One day citizen meeting will be organized across the globe on September 15, 2012 to get view of people. We will hold four meetings in India (Delhi, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, and Ahmedabad). The results of the activity will be presented to policy-makers and stakeholders at national as well as international levels at COP-11 at Hyderabad in October 2012.
8. National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) side event October 15, 2012 6:15pm to 7:45pm CEE is now a national consortium member of NCSCM. NCSCM in collaboration with SICOM, MoEF is organizing a side-event at COP11. The main theme of the side event would be "Coastal & Marine Biodiversity: Threats, Challenges & Opportunities for Conservation". An exhibition will also showcase exhibition materials, 3D-models and posters that can be displayed in the side event. CEE along with NCSCM will exhibit 3-D model on Lagoon Biodiversity and Community. CEE will also showcase two posters related to the topic 'Mangrove + Community'.
9. Go4BioDiv 2012 October 16-19, 2012 Exposure to Sundarbans from October 6-15, 2012 where messengers will learn about issues at stake and develop their output for COP 11. The messengers will then be in Hyderabad to be a part of the COP 11 and share the outputs or messages with decision makers and the wider public through a powerful youth declaration, creative performances involving street theatre, colourful exhibition and various side events
10. International Expert Consultation on 'Education for Biodiversity Conservation' October 16-19, 2012 Network of Indian Universities on Cultural and Biological Diversity (NIUCBD) is organizing a two day side event 'Expert Consultation on Education for Biodiversity Conservation' on October 16-17, 2012 at NAC seminar hall in Kundapur, Hyderabad close to convention centre. CEE has been invited to join the consultation.
11. Side Event – Biodiversity Conservation and Education for Sustainable Development October 17, 2012 6:15pm to 7:45pm Venue: Room 1.06 – Level 1 Outcomes of the conference will be shared and discussed in this side event (1hr and 30 mins)
12. Hand Print Pledges Dinner and Cultural Programme The campaign 'Pledge for Life' focuses on educating young people in India about the need to preserve biodiversity and then getting them to sign a pledge to do something about it. The aim is to have two million pledges in time for the opening of the COP in Hyderabad.
