Centre for Environment Education (CEE) is a national institution engaged in developing programmes and material to increase awareness and concern, leading to action, regarding the environment and sustainable development. CEE is a Centre of Excellence supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India and affiliated to the Nehru Foundation for Development. The Himalaya Initiative of the Centre, CEE Himalaya, works in the Indian Himalayan region towards achieving sustainable mountain development through environmental education and communication.

Location: Lucknow, Uttarkashi
About the Projects and the job profile: CEE Himalaya has been working on rehabilitation of 16-17 June 2013 flash floods in Uttarakhand affected people running a series of programmes like psycho social care & support, disaster risk reduction, sustainable livelihood, addressing to climate change and development issues etc. Another project is creating awareness on climate change issues by using a multi media mobile exhibition, conducting programmes in schools and in the community. The jobs require helping in organizing events of local, state and national level; imparting training to various stakeholders; developing education and communication material in English, Hindi, Urdu and other vernacular languages; developing project proposals, making documentation and writing reports. Frequent travelling is required.
The Accounts and Administration Assistant will be responsible to independently handle the Accounts and Administration functions. Should be a young dynamic individual, willing to travel at short notices and put in extra hours of work whenever necessary. Should be familiar with English, Hindi typing, routine Accounts and Administration functions; proficient in use of MS Office, Tally version and other financial packages. Good communication skills both in English and Hindi a must.
Qualifications and skills: For Project Officer a First Class Master’s Degree in any discipline and for Project Associate Under Graduate degree in any discipline; with good understanding of environment and development, climate change, and disaster management issues; fluency in both written and spoken English; proficiency in computer skills. Accounts and Administration Assistant: Graduate in any discipline preferably B.Com with relevant experience.
Consolidated Salary: Project Officer up to 25,000, Project Associate up to 15,000 and Accounts and Administration Assistant up to 20,000 based on qualifications and experience. The appointments are initially till 31 March 2016 but extendable.
