About the Project:
Centre for Environment Education is implementing Hyundai & Multiproject on Dry & Plastic waste management. The project aims to minimize negative impacts and risks to environment and to human health in the pilot areas in both rural and urban and promoting ZERO WASTE MODEL APPROACH - zero landfills, zero plastic burning and zero Emissions, and Zero wastage in Dry waste management in India.

The strategy is to have a multi stakeholders approach through an integrated model directed to address immediate causes with support from donors and co-financing funding (both in-cash and in-kind) from the state and central government funds, NGOs/Companies contributions as waste management agencies (WMAs), by establishing an Swachh Sustainable Business Models (SSBMs) for improved dry & plastic waste management by establishing – DRY WASTE Material Recovery Facilities as Swachh Centres (SCs), in line with the emerging MOEFCC GOI “National Resource Efficiency Policy” and the “National Materials Recycling Policy”.

Job role:
The purpose of this assignment is to create & build partnership with different stakeholders in the waste supply chain and related innovators with technology. To innovatively develop the ecosystem that will help the implementation of the multiproject on Plastic & Solid Waste Management in CEE.

The Project Officer will be responsible for designing and developing different partnership and Projects to align different stakeholders for the integrated project implementation.

The recruited Project officer will work in close collaboration with the Senior Program Director, service provider and the donor.

Qualifications and experience requirements: 
Postgraduate in Management/Social Sciences/Social work/Economics/Environment Science
or related field.

A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in with expertise on stakeholder engagement, market studies and held senior positions to representation of projects / programs in various national and international forums.

Should have at least 4-5 years of experience in implementing innovative partnership projects in Plastic Waste Management and Solid Waste Management. An international exposure or working with Government institutions in Innovative practices, waste management, climate change, and sustainability will be preferable.

Good analytical, communication, interpersonal, computer and presentation skills will be an added advantage.

Scope of Work:

1. Provide technical and hand holding support with regards to partnerships, enterprises and entrepreneurs’ development in the project.
2. Guide and draft the plans in making links with different partners, grass root innovators to develop enterprises in the waste ecosystems in the urban and rural landscapes.
3. Networking with various government and nongovernment organizations including informal sectors (i.e. waste pickers, aggregators and recyclers), authorized recyclers, state livelihoods missions, DST, Innovators, state and central regulatory authorities, municipalities, ULBs, Gram Panchayats, National and State urban development dept., state environment dept., RWAs and other stake holders, in relation to implementation of the project.
4. Develop partnerships to build project ecosystem with training institutions, institution partners, recyclers, SHGs, corporate, financial institutions, etc
5. Preparation of project documents, project reports, computer apps etc. and presentation to higher authorities in building partnerships.
6. Conduct trainings & workshops of government and allied stakeholders to promote project coverage and visibility in the city, state and nationally
7. Keeps a tab, understanding and support in accessing and sharing the technical inputs on project operations from time to time to PMU and other key project stakeholders.
8. Liaison with Senior Government Officials, Mission Directors SBM Grameen/Urban, PRI Members, state and central regulatory authorities, municipalities, ULBs, Gram Panchayats, National and State urban development dept., state environment dept., and other key supporting partners at local and national levels (for implementation, networking, and lessons sharing).
9. Supporting Communication and content development for publications and other knowledge products for themes covered under JJM and SBM G 2.0.
10. Conduct training & workshops of government and allied stakeholders on themes covered under JJM and SBM G 2.0
11. Provide support in accessing and sharing the technical inputs on themes covered under JJM and SBM G 2.0 from time to time to state PMU and other key project stakeholders.
12. Perform administrative tasks such as support logistics for the project, providing translation and interpretation when required, set-up project filling system.
13. Develop Monthly update reports and other supporting documents.
14. Organized workshops, events, and provided technical guidance on project subjects.

The Centre for Environment Education (CEE), in partnership with HDB Financial Services, is launching an innovative initiative to combat water pollution through the installation of trash barriers in small rivers and canals.This initiative, focusing on four states in India (Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh), aims to intercept floating plastic debris and other pollutants at the source, preventing them from flowing into larger bodies of water. By implementing these cost-effective, locally-relevant waste collection systems, the project aligns with India's National Mission for Clean Ganga, UNEP's Tide Turners Plastic Challenge, and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. It targets both urban and rural areas, addressing the dual challenges of waste management and ecosystem restoration.

The project involves assessing and selecting six high-priority locations based on pollution levels and solid waste issues, followed by the installation of tailored trash barriers to intercept waste. Key components include engaging local communities, particularly through SHGs, Gram Panchayats, and urban local bodies, to promote sustainable waste management practices. Monitoring will track the effectiveness of the trash barriers, with goals to reduce plastic waste by 50%, train 50 stakeholders, and maintain 90% operational status of the barriers. Expected outcomes include a significant reduction in visible trash and improved water quality, benefiting both local ecosystems and community well-being.

Job role:

The Project Officer is to be based in Greater Noida and ensure the smooth implementation of project activities in Greater Noida.

The recruited Project Officer is to ensure effective coordination, advocacy, and technical support may be extended to the respective department/ULBs/service providers/others from the state to the field level on effective implementation of the project.

The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the linkages with various stakeholders in the working areas to align the execution of the core project activities.

The recruited Project Officer will work in close collaboration with the project manager, Service Provider, and the donor. He/she will be reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and experience requirements: 

Graduate in Environmental Science/ Environment Management / Social Studies / Economics / Waste Management/ Business Management or another relevant field with a minimum of 05 years of experience in the relevant field. Working experience in the implementation of waste management projects or working with the State or central governments will be preferred.

Good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills on the impacts of the project. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).

Scope of Work:

• Provide support for the execution of projects related to Integrated (Dry and plastic) waste management covering the following main areas:

o   Dry/Plastic waste supply chain management – segregation, collection, transportation, aggregation, and recycling

o   City evaluation and ecosystem building – guiding and drafting the plans and TORs for understanding city baseline and SOPs etc.

o   Execute partnerships – Setting up partnerships and managing relationships with waste pickers, NGOs, Pvt. Partners, Bulk waste generators and a host of other partners to develop backward and forward linkage for dry/plastic waste further processing.  

o   Governance – Setting up a governance system to monitor operations and capacity building to various formal and informal sector players in the ecosystem

o   Procurement and Vendor Management- Should have some knowledge regarding machineries and procurement systems and vendor management.

Educator’s responsibilities:

• Be an educator for any one class to handle Planet discovery Centre kids of age 2 to 8 years. Handle all responsibilities of the educator, planning, execution, classroom management, reporting and parent interactions.
• Implement and strengthen EE and Nature based education in the annual, monthly and daily activity plans for all age groups. Demonstrate activities, codify these, document learnings and impact and train the team on EE and nature based education especially on CEE Campus.

Requirements for the Educators

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Science/Social Sciences) with Bed, Masters degree, qualification and training in Elementary education and pre-school experience of working with age 2-8 years.

Scope of Work:

• Support in establishing processes and systems for effective reporting & traceability as
  per the framework developed under the project
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reporting formats are in place and
  followed on the progress of activities as per the approved work plan
• Facilitate and coordinate with the field team and implementing partners to collate the reports.
• Meet the requirements of the management as per the donors’ needs for data.
• Collect data related to project activities, including but not limited to waste collection, recycling initiatives, community engagements etc.
• Conduct field visits to project sites to gather information and monitor progress.
• Assist in analyzing data and preparing reports on project performance and impact.

General Qualifications, Attributes and Competencies required at CEE :

Masters Degree with a background in Education, Science, Geography or Environmental Science.
Individuals with two years of relevant experience (teaching-learning in schools) will be preferred.

Programme staff in general will be responsible for implementation of development education and communication programmes, their documentation and would need to lead the Programme Coordination team. The incumbent shall also be responsible for carrying out the relevant subject research and support development of project documents and educational products.

Project Coordinators and Officers are in general will be responsible for:

Job Description:

The Project Officer will be based at Mehsana District (Gujarat) and to ensure the smooth
implementation of project activities;

• Actively engage with community members to promote awareness of plastic waste
  management practices.
• Conduct regular community meetings to encourage participation in waste segregation
  and recycling activities.
• Build relationships with local leaders, self-help groups (SHGs), schools, and other
  stakeholders to enhance community involvement.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate community members about the
  impact of plastic pollution and sustainable waste management practices.
• Collect data on waste collection, community participation, and recycling activities to
  evaluate project impact.
• Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports to the Project Coordinator, highlighting
  achievements, challenges, and feedback from the community.

Duration: Project appointment, initially for a period of one year, extendable based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• To create a database of a variety of resource material including books, reports, posters, photographs etc.

About the Project 

The Nature Education Programme integrates environmental learning into the curriculum to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Its purpose is to promote environmental awareness, inspire sustainable practices, and encourage active participation in conservation efforts. By connecting students with the natural world, the programme aims to build a foundation for responsible environmental stewardship and lifelong eco-friendly habits. 

Centre for Environment Education (CEE) implements environmental education through its Nature Education Programme in partnership with various partners. The "Greening Minds" - 

Nature Education Programme, implemented in schools in partnership with TVS Motors, provide students with hands-on experiences in man-made forests and witness the conservatory implementations on campus to mitigate climate change and pollution. This initiative helps students connect with and gain a deeper understanding of natural environments through direct interaction with these created forest areas and adopt certain green initiatives through outreach program. 

Purpose of the Project 

Responsible for creating and implementing plans and strategies for training teachers and students to effectively deliver the educational program. This involves providing hands-on experiences, outdoor learning opportunities, and activities that enable teachers and students to analyze, document, and apply environmental concepts. Additionally, the role involves establishing the TCCPC (Teacher-Child-Child-Parent-Community) link to promote environmental security and nature conservation within the community. 

Responsibilities

1. Stay current with the latest research and developments in wildlife biology, state of climate change and conservation strategies.
2. Design and produce educational materials, such as handbooks, brochures, posters, and online content.
3. Prepare engaging presentations, workshops, and activities for diverse audience.
4. Provide training to teachers and students
5. Assist with the planning and execution of outreach activities and special events for students.
6. Conduct fieldwork, qualitative and quantitative data of the program
7. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make improvements as needed.
8. Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.
9. Promote the organization's mission and goals through team management skills & decision-making ability.
10. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

 Competency Requirements

1. Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. with any science background and/or must have sound knowledge of environmental aspects.
2. Strong knowledge of wildlife biology, ecology, climate change, and conservation principles.

4. Min. 1 year experience in working with Govt. School management and students, with good coordination skills (Preferable).
5. Experience in execution of educational programs and multitasking.

About the Project:

Centre for Environment Education is slot online implementing an Integrated Waste Management Project –“EcoGram” in Guwahati, Assam. This is one of the initiatives of the Hyundai Motor India Foundation and CEE. The project aims to minimize negative impacts and risks to the environment and to human health in the implemented area and promote a ZERO WASTE MODEL APPROACH - zero landfills, zero plastic burning, and zero Emissions, and Zero wastage in Dry waste management in India.

The strategy is to have a multi-stakeholders approach through an integrated model directed to address immediate causes with support from the Hyundai Motor India Foundation and Guwahati Municipal Corporation, by establishing a Swachh Sustainable Business Models (SSBMs) for improved dry & plastic waste management by establishing – DRY and PLASTIC WASTE Material Recovery Facilities, in line with the emerging MOEFCC GOI “National Resource Efficiency Policy” and the “National Materials Recycling Policy”.

Job role:

The Project Officer is to be based in Guwahati (Assam) and ensure the smooth implementation of project activities in Guwahati.

The recruited Project Officer is to ensure effective coordination, advocacy, and technical support may be extended to the respective department/ULBs/service providers/others from the state to the field level on effective implementation of the project.

The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the linkages with various stakeholders in the working areas to align the execution of the core project activities.

The recruited Project Officer will work in close collaboration with the project manager, Service Provider, and the donor. He/she will be reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and experience requirements: 

Graduate in Environmental Science/ Environment Management / Social Studies / Economics / Waste Management/ Business Management or another relevant field with a minimum of 05 years of experience in the relevant field. Working experience in the implementation of waste management projects or working with the State or central governments will be preferred.

Good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills on the impacts of the project. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).

Proficiency in the local language i.e. Assamese will be preferred.

Scope of Work:

• Provide support for the execution of projects related to Integrated (Dry and plastic) waste management covering the following main areas:
  • Dry/Plastic waste supply chain management – segregation, collection, transportation, aggregation, and recycling
  • City evaluation and ecosystem building – guiding and drafting the plans and TORs for understanding city baseline and SOPs etc.
  • Execute partnerships – Setting up partnerships and managing relationships with waste pickers, NGOs, Pvt. Partners, Bulk waste generators and a host of other partners to develop backward and forward linkage for dry/plastic waste further processing.
  • Governance – Setting up a governance system to monitor operations and capacity building to various formal and informal sector players in the ecosystem
  • Procurement and Vendor Management- Should have some some knowledge regarding machinaries and procurement systems and vendor management.
• Assistance in the preparation of project documents like TORs, Monthly and weekly project reports, impact reports etc., and presentation for higher authorities.
• Support and Review integrated waste management project-“EcoGram” at various stages during execution, and look into alternatives that are sustainable, cost-effective, and executable.
• Liaison and Network with various stakeholders, both government and non- government, during the execution of the projects.
• Assist in Capacity building, Resource mobilization, and Knowledge management by attending training programs related to project activities.
• Visit various places for review of projects as well as evaluation of vendor’s technology on waste management practices, composting.
• Perform any other tasks assigned from time to time by the senior management.
