Create awareness and involve youth in formal and non-formal environmental improvement action projects.
In recognition of the need to extend environmental education to youth who are on the threshold of becoming active participants in society as citizens, decision makers and leaders, CEE has developed programmes aimed at reaching out to them and tapping their volunteer energy. Resource persons from CEE also directly interact with youth through lectures, seminars, workshops, projects etc.
The 'Youth for Environment' (YEN) Groups at CEE was formed in 1994 to make youth aware of environmental realities and promote their involvement in improving the environment, through formal and non-formal programmes.
