Industry Capacity Building

The Project Information Note and the draft of the Project Development Document (PDD) were developed for the GTZ, New Delhi, quantifying carbon offsets related to the small scale afforestation activity of the Department of Environment and Forests, New Delhi. The process of identifying the appropriate approved methodology to quantify offsets, documenting information and reporting was guided by a well-defined logical framework and extensive interactions with all relevant stakeholders in the government and other facilitators followed by consolidation of information provided by the project proponent viz. the Govt. of New Delhi. The final draft of the PDD has been developed and is being discussed with all concerned authorities in the GTZ and DoE so that the submission is made to the designated authority soon.

A significant level of support was provided to the Training Management Unit operated by CEE for GTZ, New Delhi, consolidating and disseminating information on the wide range of training activities carried out by the Advisory Services in Environmental Management (ASEM, GTZ). ASEM’s partners were also helped to expand their activities and their niche in the Madhya Pradesh by helping them establish links with the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Bhopal. CEE has been invited to continue to function as the Training Management Unit; going beyond the period of time initially asked for.
