International Youth Day

Acknowledging the role of youth in sustainability movement around the world, CEE Jaipur team have organized International Youth Day on 12 Aug at Jaipur. Sensitization of youth towards the cause of sustainable consumption and production and enhancing their communication skills was the main objective of the event. Activities organized in the programme were in line with this year theme- "The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production". Event included a photography session for teaching them about the nuances of photography using both, mobile phones and cameras, followed by photographic entries on the theme of Swachh Bharat, using the techniques taught to them by the expert in the workshop. An essay writing competition was organized in which participants came up with their views and action ideas on the theme of sustainable consumption and production. Event culminated with a pledge by participants through their handprint and taking a promise for sustainable lifestyle. 106 youth from schools and colleges of Jaipur participated in the event.The youth team from Jaipur shared their views on transforming education for children and youth during the international conference.
