Pre nomination Assessment of WATSAN situation in the villages of Medak district that have proposed for Nirmal Grampuraskar (NGP):
CEE AP conducted a pre nomination Assessment of WATSAN situation in 54 villages of Medak district that have submitted proposals for NGP. The study was conducted during December 2007 on request by State Water Sanitation Mission (SWSM) of Andhra Pradesh.
The methodologies included transect walks in the village, interaction with community, visit to schools, visits to a sample of households and discussions with Panchayat presidents. Based on the observations, the proposals were filtered for submission and the feed back was given to the respective Panchayats and officials of Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) and to the SWSM.
