NSE Foundation is a Section 8 company that undertakes the CSR activities of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and its subsidiaries (NSE Group), with a broad vision to enhance the well-being of underprivileged and marginalised communities.
NSE Group has been constantly working to improve the financial wellbeing of people at large through a committed approach to offer investment products that suits varied needs of people.NSE Group further understands that the economic and social well-being of the community is closely interlinked to their habitats and their surrounding environment. Consequently, NSE Foundation strives on improving the quality of life of its identified beneficiaries, thereby creating inclusive societies, while meeting the social and environmental responsibilities of the NSE Group. NSE Foundation implements its activities in seven core focus area with emphasis on three key areas - Primary Education, Elder Care and Sanitation and Safe Drinking Water. Further, at the time of natural disasters in the country, NSE Foundation has been quick to respond with need-based, structured and focused Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation projects. NSE Foundation has supported more than 75 projects in seven sectors across 10 Indian states, impacting more than eight lakh (800,000) beneficiaries. NSE Foundation programs are aligned to the State and local governing bodies to ensure sustainability of the project. Innovations in implementation and customization to the local context are some of the key parameters in any NSE Foundation project. NSE Foundation implements programmes through agencies and partners with domain expertise and presence in the identified geographies. The programmes are closely monitored by empaneled agencies with expertise in the social and development sector, measured on a regular basis by systematic programme and financial audit including monitoring and evaluation of qualitative and quantitative output indicators. The holistic approach taken by NSE Foundation in implementing its projects to address the development gaps of the country has also been recognized with several awards from reputed domestic and international agencies bestowed towards its unique projects.
