NEEPS were organized in various districts of Rajasthan like Bikaner and Alwar over many years from 1985. National Environment Education Programme in Schools (NEEPS) used the basic objectives of the National Environmental Awareness Campaign (NEAC) a country wide teacher training programme, MHRD-EOSE and CEE's Environmental Education Bank project (EE Bank) to form a comprehensive programme to be implemented in schools all over India. NEEPS was based on cluster approach to environment education. After training, each NGO established a cluster of 20-25 schools for conducting EE programmes. CEE successfully completed the project in Rajasthan along with two NGOs -URMUL Jyoti Sansthan, Nokha, Bikaner and Krishi Avam Paristhitiki Vikas Sansthan, Alwar
