CEE and Dainik Bhaskar group organized a green drive under ‘Ek Ped Ek Zindagi’ campaign in Jaipur. Key objective of this campaign was to create greater awareness and sensitivity on the importance, conservation, use and usefulness of the medicinal plants, native plant species in our lives and livelihoods and to drive behavioral change amongst society towards plantation and nurturing of native and medicinal plants. CEE team conducted a briefing session with the students about the need and importance of native and medicinal plants via games and demonstrations. Under the campaign, students planted native trees and medicinal plants like Neem, Amla, Jamun, Guava, Kadamb, Pipal, Papaya, Tamarind, Bel, Basil, Ashoka, Gulmohar, Sadabahar, Ajwain, and Mint, Pathar Chata, Ashvagandha, Tarmarind and Aloe Vera etc. Few school also organised an exhibition of medicinal plants for orientation of the neighboring society and families of students. About 220 saplings were planted by students of Jaipur city under this campaign.
