Centre for Environment Education (CEE) has been designated as resource agency since 2001 for the national level Eco-Club programme 'National Green Corps' (NGC). CEE, with its national presence, has been providing technical and advisory support to state nodal agencies from 15 states and two Union Territories. CEE is guiding and networking with eco-club schools and the nodal agency through its various initiatives. The programme is being implemented in 33 districts of Rajasthan, with 500 eco-clubs in schools in each district. Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides (RSBSG) is the State Nodal Agency in the implementation of the programme. CEE facilitates eco-club in-charge training programme and orientation of teacher in-charge about environmental education and the concept of sustainable development. Based on its long term association with the eco-clubs of Rajasthan, CEE give its input to strengthen the programme in the state during the meeting state steering committee at state level and district implementation and monitoring committee at each district. CEE facilitates in drawing annual action plan for eco-clubs, organise events in synergy with UNEP themes of major environmental days, aligns eco-clubs with national priorities like Swatch Bharat Mission, etc. and provides platform for recognition and sharing of efforts of eco-clubs via state level Paryavaran Mela and district felicitation ceremony.
