Rebuilding Trust, CEE's rehabilitation programme for the earthquake affected in Kashmir, in October 2005, provided interim support which enabled over 13,000 people to cope with the harsh winter months that followed the earthquake. Over 300 families in 7 villages were provided help to resume their livelihoods. 10 damaged schools were reconstructed in Uri and Karnah, while interim classrooms were constructed in 12 damaged schools in 3 villages, helping 750 students to continue their studies under adverse weather conditions
