Swachhagraha is an initiative of Adani act in collaboration with CEE as knowledge and implementation partner. The project 'Swachhagraha' draws inspiration from the Satyagraha movement, to engage people and bring about change similar in scale to India's freedom movement where people get involved to take action for 'Creating a culture of cleanliness'. The project aims to engage people and bring about change similar in scale to India's freedom movement where people get involved to take action for 'Creating a culture of cleanliness'. It encourage individuals to inculcate the habit of cleanliness, create a sense of ownership for public spaces and identifies motivated youth as 'Swachhagrahi', who will be encouraged to act and inspire others. The project aims to engage people and bring about change through project based learning, imbibe skills and competencies like leadership, critical thinking, planning, problem solving, communication, etc. and inculcate the value of cleanliness to catalyse action to demonstrate behavioral change. The project was carried out in 16 states, Rajasthan being one of them.

Swachhagrahis from Rajasthan has actively participated in 'Safai Ke Sitare' campaign organsied in September. Under the campaign, students interacted with the cleaning staff of their school. To highlight the role of the cleaning staff, students prepared a creative write-up, which describes the person with his her name, background and how important is their role for the society. They also clicked a selfie with the staff at their school. Around 262 swachhagrahis from 65 schools of Rajasthan participated in the campaign.

In addition, capacity building exercises for key stakeholders has been organised via training programmes of teachers, non-teaching staff and SMC members on WASH for participatory management,

Under 'Swachhata ke reporters' campaign, an initiative to understand that who is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, 25 swachhagrahis interacted with community to capture their views and concluded their analysis as reporter. The campaign was organised in January 2018. Under Swachhagraha programme, around 120 teachers were trained on project based learning to facilitate action projects in their schools. Schools of Rajasthan carried out action project on issue related to cleanliness. Around 100 schools shared their activities through reports of action taken by their swachhagraha dal for waste segregation, waste disposal and its management and personal hygiene.

A WhatsApp group was made and facilitated by CEE Rajasthan to promote sharing of activities and learning among schools through digital mediums. Facebook pagewas created for sharing experiences and observation along with the activities and best practices with the community.
