Recognizing education as an essential enabler to enhance climate action, CEE’s Climate Change programme focuses on climate literacy, knowledge exchange and public awareness as well as participation. This is done through engaging and empowering different stakeholders which include government officials, policymakers, students, researchers, academics, environment practitioners, using interactive educational methodologies.
CEE’s CC team works directly with different governmental and non-governmental organizations including central government ministries, state governments and departments, the United Nations bodies such as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The climate change team at CEE works closely with UNFCCC for supporting and promoting Article 6 of the convention and Article 12 of the Paris Agreement also known as Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE).
