Polo Forest
About: Polo Forest is located at a distance of about 150 km from Ahmedabad near Abhapur village of Vijaynagar taluka. The area is biologically rich in flora and fauna and the dense forests and river side provide an excellent opportunity to experience nature. The area is surrounded with archeologically important Shiv Temple at Sarneshwar, Sadevant Savlings Deras, Surya Mandir, Lakhena Temple, Jain derasar, the ancient Polo Jain Nagri. Harnav river, a small perennial stream, rocks & diversified flora and fauna, dense multistoried forests have been attraction to the visitors, tourists, Research scholars, students as well as natural lovers.

It is also a Bird Watcher’s Delight being a sanctuary for over 200 species of Rare Birds. It also is an abode for Jungle fowl and a host of other species which are yet grimly holding on to this last habitat, thoroughly adorned by flowing rivulets and an unsullied lake.

Kumbhalgarh
About: Kumbhalgarh is the Mewar citadel place in Rajsamand region of State Rajasthan. This Indian tourist place is popular as World Heritage Site because of amazingly constructed Hill Forts in the state. Maximum citadels are constructed in 15th century by King Kumbha. However, all forts were completed by the end of 19th century so the place is named after King Kumbha as Kumbhalgarh. Many big rulers of nation got birth in this place. One of the big names is Maharana Pratap who was the great emperor and fighter of Mewar. Presently fort is open for the visitors and is enormously lit for few minutes in the evening. The town is located at 82 km distance from Udaipur that is another big tourism spot of Rajasthan. For Mewar empire Kumbhalgarh fort is most important place after Chittaurgarh.

The town is having beautiful natural spots and amazingly constructed temples. For fort you have to reach the hilltop of 1100 meters from the sea level.There are 7 fortified gateways in Kumbhalgarh. You will be surprised that nearly 360 temples are constructed inside the fort area in which 300 shrines are ancient Jain temples. Once you reach the top of palace you can easily view the high ranges of 10 Kms of Aravalli Mountains. 

Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary
About: Home to a wide variety of plants and animals, the Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 70Km from the city of Vadodara in Panchmahal district of Gujarat. The park is excellent in vegetation that comprises of teak, bamboo and several other types of small vegetation. Before the independence of India, Jambughoda was a princely state comprising of several hills and valleys and the sanctuary was a part of this state. There are two water tanks in the sanctuary one located in Kada and another in Targol. The reservoirs add more weightage to the scenic beauty of the area. Apart from predators and preys the sanctuary is also home to different types of reptiles. One of the most beautiful locations in the sanctuary is Kada. It is also a great site for camping. The most mesmerizing scene of the reserve is the hills covered with thick vegetation and beautiful valleys with human settlements. The Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best areas for nature education and environmental awareness. The sanctuary spans over a large area of 130.38 square kilometres. Visitors to the sanctuary can enjoy hiking and camping in the area. There are several hiking trails that take you through the forest area.

Velavadar, Lothal
About: The Velavadar National Park at Velavadar, also known as Blackbuck National Park, is situated in the Bhavnagar District of Gujarat state. Flat land, dry grasses & Herds of Antelope and blackbuck, wolf, lesser florican has been sustained here. Migratory birds arrive like three species of harriers, lesser floricans, eagles, waders and other water birds. The park’s specialties include Saras Crane and Stolikza’s Bushchat. Eagles, falcons and endangered vultures can be seen at Velavadar. In winter, Velavadar National Park hosts the world’s largest harrier roost – Montagu’s Ha"

Hingolgadh Nature Education Sanctuary
About: Hingolgadh Sanctuary is a green oasis in the dry plateau of Saurashtra and just 180 kms. from Ahmedabad. Extending over a forest area of 654.07 hectares, the sanctuary represents dry deciduous scrub forests where the trees of Acacia Senegal (Gorad), Mytenus emarginata (Vikalo), Acacia nilotica (Baval), Commiphora wightii(Gugal) etc. dominate the landscape. The area is hilly, rugged and undulating. The landscape presents a magnificent mosaic of grasslands and scrub forests.

Hingolgadh Nature Education Sanctuary houses animals like the Chinkara, Leopard, Flying fox, Hyena and Wolf to name a few. This is the natural habitat of many species of woodpeckers, bulbuls, bablers etc. So if you are a bird watcher and in perfect sync with nature, this is the place you should be heading to. The avian life in Hingolgadh Nature Education Sanctuary is a delight for ornithologists and tourists. The rare spotted eagle and crested hawk eagle can be seen here. You might catch a glimpse of the migratory birds too which can be seen gliding through the sky or perched high up. You might just consider halting, to appreciate the beauty of the Hingolgadh Palace, which lies at close proximity to the park.

Mount Abu
About: The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many sightseeing points offering fantastic views. The fauna and the floral beauty of the sanctuary is something that attracts lot of tourists. The variety of animals found in the sanctuary includes Small Indian Civet, Wolf, Hyaena, Sambhar, Jungle Cat, Wild Boar, Pangolin, Common Mongoose, Jackal, Indian Fox, Common Langoor, Hedgehog, Indian Hare and porcupine. The grey jungle found in this sanctuary is a rare sight as it is hardly found in any other part of the world.The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is also a great place to visit for ornithologists. Presence of as many as 250 species of birds makes it a paradise for ornithologists. On visiting the sanctuary, the continuous chirping of these birds will give you an idea of these species. In addition to the sightseeing opportunities, the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular destination for eco-tourism. The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary crosses a variety of mountain highs, from 300m to 1722m at Gurashikhar- the highest peak in the Aravali Ranges.
