Through various initiatives CEE has been promoting eco club approach in schools across country in partnership with various agencies. Clean Ganga Club Programme, Dolphin Club, DNA club, National Green Corps, etc. are some of the key programmes being done across country.

National Green Corps (NGC) is a national programme conceptualized and initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. As the name suggests, it is a programme to sensitize school children about environment, its problems and conservation. Started in the year 2001, the programme is operational across the country through school eco-clubs established for this purpose. Over 1 lakh schools are involved under the programme. CEE was designated as resource agency for the programme implementation in 15 States and 2 UTs for the period of 16 years. CEE has been involved in providing technical input and advice to State nodal agencies for the implementation of the programme, development of material for schools, teachers and master trainers, conducting trainings for master trainers and teachers, facilitation of eco club activities and monitoring and evaluation of the programme. Dolphin Club is part of species conservation focused programme which was done across Ganga and Brahmaputra basin in 4 states covering over 1000 schools located near river banks. Clean Ganga Club Programme is a district level initiative in Varanasi initiated by CEE in association with Varanasi Municipal Corporation under Clean Ganga - Clean Kashi initiative. The programme is being implemented since 2016 in 100 schools. CEE has been involved in training of teachers, orientation of club students, development of material, awareness events and campaigns etc. Over 5000 students are engaged in club activities to raise awareness towards cleanliness of ghats and conservation of river Ganga.
